My Video Book Review:
Welcome to another video book review. This time, we are looking at Emotional Magnetism by Sandy Gerber.
First of all, I loved this book. I love personality tests and tools that help us get to know ourselves better and how we relate with other people in our lives.
In this book, there are four emotional magnets: safety, achievement, value, and experiences, and she provides a quiz to help you identify which one is your primary emotional magnet. Learning about these emotional magnets and the motivations and blockers that come with them can help you in how you approach certain situations with other people. You learn how to speak their language, so to speak, and this can help improve your communication with them overall.
I was surprised to learn that my primary emotional magnet wasn’t what I thought it would be, but after reading more about it, I started to see evidence of it in my day-to-day conversations and my decisions. I also identified my husband’s primary magnet when I told him about the book and which magnet I suspected was his. He totally agreed. He thought the book sounded interesting and wants to read it too.
Emotional Magnetism is a quick read. It’s just 169 pages, but I think it’s worth spending a little more time really studying it more in-depth to understand yourself better and how you relate with others.
