BOOK REVIEW: November 9

⭐️⭐️⭐️

ABOUT THE BOOK (from Amazon):

Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in Los Angeles together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist.

Can Ben’s relationship with Fallon—and simultaneously his novel—be considered a love story if it ends in heartbreak?

November 9 is really popular among the TikTok reading community. So I guess I had pretty high expectations for it.

As I was reading it, I was surprised by how cheesy and far-fetched it was. About 80% of it is really cheesy. Then it kind of comes together where it seems less cheesy because there’s a series of twists that pull it all together. But, for me, the last 20% was too late. I had already written this book off in my mind as the cheesiest love story I had ever read.

In the end it was a good book, but I definitely didn’t love it like so many TikTokers out there seem to.
