An innocent maiden

And a legendary warrior

When captured and held prisoner in an enemy castle, Margery of Lyon is guarded by brooding mercenary Evrart, who’s been commanded to watch her—day and night. Margery’s determination to escape brings her closer to Evrart and the kind heart hidden beneath his granite-hard body. 1. What literary pilgrimages have you gone on?

I’ve done of a few of these. For instance, I purposefully went to Trinity College to see The Book of Kells.

  1. How long on average does it take you to write a book?

Way too long at the beginning. Even if I know what the story is about, and it’s part of a series, I still get tripped up with all the possibilities of how the characters fall in love.

  1. What is the most difficult part about writing for you?

Sitting down and writing! Seriously,I have to force myself to write the first 500 words.Once I get past that number I’m into the story or the process of writing. Until then, I could distract myself with watching dust motes. So it always takes an effort.

  1. Do you hear from your readers much? What do they say?

I absolutely adore talking to readers about lives or romance books. I’m a reader first and always, so the genre is near and dear to my heart.

  1. Is writing your full-time career? Or would you like it to be?

Writing is my full-time career, but because of family, I still have difficulty fitting it in the schedule. I tend to stay up late to get things done.

  1. On a typical day, how much time do you spend writing?

I write every day, but I can’t ever do it at home, and must be somewhere else…even sitting in my car at a park works. It’s better if I’m at a museum or a café, but never a library or somewhere quiet. I work best on trains/tubes. Any place where there is loads of activity, but no one is talking to me. I call it social isolationism.
