BOOK REVIEW: Seriously…I’m Kidding by Ellen Degeneres

ABOUT THE BOOK (from Amazon):
“I’ve experienced a whole lot the last few years and I have a lot to share. So I hope that you’ll take a moment to sit back, relax and enjoy the words I’ve put together for you in this book. I think you’ll find I’ve left no stone unturned, no door unopened, no window unbroken, no rug unvacuumed, no ivories untickled. What I’m saying is, let us begin, shall we?”

MY REVIEW:

I “read” this in audiobook format and all I can say is I…LOVED it.  Seriously…I’m not kidding.

I’ll admit, I’m an Ellen fan, so I may be slightly biased, but this book was just what I needed.  I typically read non-fiction (business) books and occasionally fiction, but I was bored.  I needed something different, something light, something that didn’t make me feel like I was reading.  After all, reading is work.

The audiobook is narrated by Ellen, who is just a joy to listen to.  Over the course of three hours, Ellen talks about everything from gardening to gambling to how to become a billionaire.  She tells fun, lighthearted stories and she just makes you laugh.

I don’t know many men in my life who would enjoy this book, but I would highly recommend it for women, especially those who are already a fan of Ellen.
