Getting Video Reviews for Your Book and How to Use Them

Reviews (particularly good ones) from readers can help new potential readers get a better idea about your book and why they might be interested in reading it.  One way to make the most of your reviews is to ask your reviewers to post a video of their review of your book.  You can host a giveaway for readers who post a review for your book by video.  They can post the review on their own YouTube account and then share the link within a blog comment or send you the video file.  You can then post those reviews on your blog by embedding the videos within blog posts.  As a giveaway, you can give a copy of your book to one reviewer per month, or, better yet, since they’ve already read your book, you could offer an Amazon gift card or a copy of another one of your books or something of value to your audience.

DISCUSSION: Have you received any video reviews for your book?  If so, what did you do with it?
