Self-Publishing Authors Must Always Be Prepared for Book Marketing

As a self-publishing author, there are a number of materials you will want to have on hand at all times in order to promote your book whenever you have the opportunity. Make sure you have everything you need to promote your book ready to send out in a moment’s notice to potential reviewers, media, bookstores or for any other opportunities that may arise. I suggest at least the following:

Business Cards
• Cover Letter – prepare a generic cover letter that you can modify slightly for each specific opportunity
Press Release – this can be announcing the publication of the book or any other newsworthy announcements (awards, events, etc.)
Articles you have written on your topic
• Copies of your book!
